I took this picture my first day in Ushuaia, Argentina, at the bottom of the world. With my mouth gaping open, I contued to pull the camera trigger, not being able to get over where I really was...
When people ask me about my mission, my mind can't help but drift to this small, Argentine island town, surrounded by white majestic Andean mountains and crystal clear blue arctic water. That pit comes into my stomach just writing about it. Tony Bennett sings:
The loveliness of Paris
Seems somehow sadly gay
The glory that was Rome
Is of another day
I've been terribly alone
And forgotten in Manhattan
I'm going home to my city by the bay.
Seems somehow sadly gay
The glory that was Rome
Is of another day
I've been terribly alone
And forgotten in Manhattan
I'm going home to my city by the bay.
I left my heart in Ushuaia.
