I'll never look at chili cheese fries the same again
I'm watching ESPN. I usually don't tune into ESPN. I'm not a huge follower of TV sports. But I stumbled upon an interesting program tonight as I flipped through the channels. I am watching the 2006 U.S. Open/Competitive Eating. I thought, "Now that is what I'm talking about!" These contenders are fighting for the title of who can eat the most of various foods. And let me tell you, it's disgusting. Right now is the chili cheese fries competition. The Black Widow just ate four pounds of fries in three minutes to win her round. The Black Widow is a 97 pound Asian woman. Last year I watched the competition and she ate 25 hotdogs under a certain amount of time. Another Asian guy, who is the defending world champion in the hot dog eating contest, took on a traditionally obese American man in his round. In a move that suprised even the ESPN commentators, the little 110 pound kid pulled out two forks and used them almost like chopsticks to shovel fries into his mouth. Oh my gosh, is he even chewing? I think he could just be swallowing the hunks of grease whole! Well, my little hero ate 6 pounds of chili cheese fries...Amazing. Why are the champions always 100 pounds and Asian? Maybe we should see how much hot dogs Chan the Man can eat...Hmm....Next up, following the commercial, is the spaghetti competition. This could get ugly. I mean, think of all the athletes who have trained their whole lives for that one. I know that I have on more than one occasion. Oh man, I'm pretty sure I could out eat any guy that wanted to take me on. Most of the time I restrain myself for the sake of my health and the fact that I'm human, but if given the chance and I was in the right mindset, I could CHOW DOWN.
