Utah, speaking in purely topological terms, sucks. The mountains are bare and brown. Mountain and tree are not even used in the same sentence. It's drier than Haites, and well, yeah. It just isn't home. I miss the green. I miss the trees. I miss the rivers. I miss the fall foliage that always covers the hills of Oregon. Here, like I said, there aren't many trees on which leaves could turn colors (I believe there might be a small population of red shrubs on the mountain, though it's hard to tell). Today I saw a guy wearing an "Oregon" sweatshirt. I wanted to go up and hug him. There is just something about Oregonians. We're weird, and we embrace it. Oregon is a quirky state, one which many know very little about. Yesterday I wore my "Oregon" sweatshirt and my heart swelled with pride. Every time Jamie and I see an Oregon lisence plate, we take a picture. What is it about Oregon?
Oregon is my homeboy. Hollah.
(The waterfall pict was taken last summer up the Umpqua)
