Update on Guitar Boy

Blurry Picture of Guitar Boy

I feel obligated to update everyone on the situation regarding Guitar Boy, of whom I dedicated an entire post to a few days ago. So here it goes:

I rounded up two girls, and we headed down to the student center to the Traditions Lounge. As we walked through the hallways, the music pulled us in. The place was packed. People overflowed the couches and lined the walls. When we walked in, two guitar players were already up on stage playing. They were simply playing while everyone arrived. Lo and behold, one of the guitar players was David, the boy who I had talked to and who had invited me. It took me awhile to figure out it was him. The room was slightly dimmed, and trust me, a guitar can do wonders for anyone's look or image. So this guy was cute. I was proud to say, "Hey, that's him. The guy who invited me!" If I could compare his style to a famous musician, I would have to say Howie Day. He wrote two of his three songs performed, and possessed a really nice voice to go along with his spectacular string skills (as well as his hair.) Well, to make a short story even shorter, after David got done playing, he left out the back door. I doubt he even saw we were there. We left three performances later. I don't know his last name. I don't know anything about him, really. I'll probably never see him again. I've come to the conclusion that he is just an extremly outgoing person who has the heart to sit next to a girl, talk to her the entire time, walk her home, and then remember her full name. He probably gave a plug for his Acoustic Explosion to everyone he came into contact with. So there you have it. There is nothing more to tell. The tale ended with him and his guitar leaving the room (and my heart forever. Haha. Not really. I just thought that sounded dramatic and sappy.) David aside, there is some real talent on this campus. Never does a day go by that I'm not impressed by something. It truly is amazing.

So here I am. Still a living, breathing, single student--and I like it. Too many people are "hooking up" here that it's almost nausiating. I apologize to those who wanted more juicy gossip. I know I could make it dramatic and interesting. Maybe I will create an alternative outcome, simply for the sheer adventure of it all. That will be for my next entry. As for now, this is reality. Deal with it. I deal with it. I'm going to eat some M & M's now.
